The whole reason I started this so-called blog in the first place

... is because I live alone, in a liminal state of year-long impermanence and transience.

I.e., I don't have any friends in Connecticut (well, within an hour's drive) and such few of my fellow grad students as I've become "friendly" with are all leaving town for good this weekend, and I just won second prize in the French Play Raffle. $20 gift certificate to a local Chinese restaurant.

Who wants to come out and share it with me one evening this summer?
