Normal is a relative term
Since I know some of you care...
Buddy and I returned to the vet today for more bloodtests. He was a fiesty little guy. It's good to have him back. All the screaming and hissing did my heart good.
And, the doc just called with the results. Besides behaving (eating, drinking, walking, talking, playing - everything but antagonizing his sister!) normally and having a normal temperature (normal for a catty is 101-102; Buddy's: 101.5, i.e. extremely normal), most importantly his liver function levels were right back up to normal! Yay! Doc says his white blood cells are "on their way" and that it's normal for them to take awhile to bounce back after such a traumatic illness. (Btw, he doesn't use phrases like "maybe cancer" anymore - he just guesses it was some monster viral infection, maybe hepatitis!)
Only prob seems to be his red blood cells are still very low (abnormally so). My baby's anemic.
So, I guess we'll all have filet mignon for dinner tonight to try to boost that up. Oops! Except the babies' Aunt ShawnE is coming over and as she's a vegetarian-head, I guess I'll stick with the roasted veggie pasta salad I'm experimenting with, and "indoor formula" for the catties.
We have to go back for more blood tests in two weeks.
I wouldn't want to make a habit of it so that shelling out emergency reserve bucks and packing a bad-mooded cat in the car every couple of weeks became normal.

That's great about Buddy. I'm sure you're relieved that it's not anything really bad.....
Is that the chair/loveseat that you had in storage? Nice.
