Amanda arrived late to Sunday School, but she came bearing a box of sticky, colorful donuts.
"Did we already do the high-low thing?" she asked. "I have one, and I'm so excited!"
Yesterday she went walking behind her house, which she had not done in awhile. Out in the woods, she came upon an ice skating pond! She ran back to the house to get her skates and her mom and returned to spin and race the afternoon away, loving the thrill of discovery in her own backyard.
Usually high-low points of the week in Sunday School have to do with dodgeball games or "having to get up in the morning." So far Amanda's excitement over her ice skating gift-adventure is the high point of my week.
