If cat hair were nickels...

When we all get our tax rebate checks in June, is it our patriotic duty to spend them?

Is paying down debt stimulating to the economy? (Or, is paying back my emergency fund by putting it in savings?)

I think not.

So, when I get my $600 I may just spend it on a pet-hair-hating vacuum cleaner.

But then, is growing the economy always a good thing (wonders Bill Mckibben)?
